Overview:The Scheduler will report to the Scheduling Department which is part of Heavy Civil Operations. The scheduling department supports the project teams in the planning, development, and updating of the bid schedules, baseline schedules, and monthly updates for project schedules.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide training for planning/scheduling practices and P6 software support.Support the development & approval of the baseline schedule.Assist the project team to identify risks and opportunities during the initial planning and execution of the project.Support the project team with the monthly update process - update actuals, update plan, and narrative.Review & provide analysis & comments on schedule quality, best practices, and compliance per the contract.Consolidate and report on schedule data for operations management review.Assist project team with delay or claim management in the schedule (Time Impact Analysis).Create presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate status using Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.Assist estimating and operations with the development of bid schedules.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or similar is required.1+ years of experience in project scheduling.2 - 4 years' total experience in the construction industry.Proficient using Primavera P6 software developing and managing schedules.Proficiency in critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks.Ability to create and prepare logical Work Breakdown Structure using WBS and activity codes in P6 to effectively build, optimize, and track the plan in P6.Experience using Deltek Acumen Fuse a plus.Federal Project Experience is a plus.DOT Project Experience is a plus.Experience in construction performing tasks as a Construction Project Engineer - managing quantity, cost, and schedule control is a plus (tracking quantities, reviewing cost reports, forecast, schedule updates, etc.).The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and levels of work performed by employees but are not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.
