General Overview:As a dynamic, rapidly growing company, we are looking for a purpose-driven

Franchise Sales Director

to join our expanding team and become an ultimate ambassador of our brand. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the recruitment of qualified new franchisees in support of the company’s growth strategy; inclusive of overall lead generation, the qualification process, and management of the franchise sales pipeline from initial inquiry to awarding of the franchise.

Essential Functions:

Actively market, recruit, qualify, and award franchise agreements and area development agreements to approved existing and potential new franchisees as well as maintaining required records and documentation of all sales processes.

Manage a territory while optimizing it for growth by awarding franchise agreements to existing and new franchisees. Must work closely with existing franchisees to maintain healthy working relationships. Manage a development process that provides annual updates and a period of exclusivity to existing owners.

Conduct initial interviews with potential franchisees, coordinate and guide candidates through the screening process, interviews, financial approvals, background evaluations, and discovery day.

Educate franchise partners on Smoothie King brand culture, focusing on commitment to our brand mission and vision.

Develop and implement Non-Traditional Development Strategy. Cultivate relationships with non-traditional operators in airports, colleges, and hospitals that lead to license agreement signings and store openings in non-traditional venues.

Develop new business and franchise awareness strategies to generate new franchise signings as well as focusing on long-term partnerships and strategies across your book of business.

Build an annual franchisee development plan for projected sales growth and royalty streams.

Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual business goals are achieved.

Attend weekly meeting to discuss pipeline and ongoing sales/recruitment activities.

Play an active role in the franchise industry by attending events that aid in securing new candidates for identified growth markets.

Work collaboratively with corporate support functions including legal, real estate/construction, accounting/finance, franchise operations, and other sales team members as needed to ensure franchisee success.

Major Responsibilities / Specific Requirements:

High-energy, flexible, hands-on individual with an outgoing personality who can thrive in a company environment and will do whatever it takes "to get it done".

A goal-oriented, focused individual who needs little direction or supervision on how to effectively build and grow the brand.

A highly organized person who stays on top of multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Track Development pipeline in FranConnect CRM platform.

Experience in selling in non-traditional venues especially airports, colleges, and hospitals.

Thorough familiarity with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to current and new franchise laws as it pertains to the annual FDD and all disclosure requirements.

Ability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel about 15%-25% of the time.

Promote the culture, values, and mission of Smoothie King.

Education and Experience Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, preferred.

A highly motivated, self-starting individual with three (3) years of experience with franchise development in sales and recruiting (preferably in multi-unit food and beverage company).

Experience with consumer facing franchise brand is required.

CFE or desire to work towards CFE program once on the team.

Personal passion for health and fitness is a plus.
