Director, Learning and Development - Marketing and CommunicationsWe are seeking a seasoned, strategic, innovative, and visionary leader to join our team as Director, Learning and Development, Marketing & Communications. In this critical global role, you will lead the charge to make HP Marketing and Comms future-ready. You will develop, curate, and deploy learning and development programs, in partnership with internal and external partners, that align to our business goals and upskill HP Marketing and Comms on critical capabilities, particularly in the age of AI.Done right, you will have transformed HP Marketing and Comms and built a long-lasting organization that is resilient in the face of challenges and fully prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead.Key Responsibilities:
Build capabilities with strategic thinking:
Identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities in our marketing and communications capabilities, and collaborate with internal and external partners to define, curate, build, and deploy corresponding learning and development programs that are aligned to the vision and strategy and drive impactful business outcomes.Lead with influence cross-functionally:
You'll work closely with Worldwide and in-country Marketing and Comms leaders as well as HR and Global L&D to understand strategy, vision, and team and organization needs, and map the capability building accordingly.Drive change as a change agent:
You will galvanize teams, build cross-functional and cross-geography support to drive impact and results, and proactively tap into data-driven (qualitative and quantitative) transformational insights to inform decision-making and improve learning and development output.Drive innovation:
Drive team-wide awareness, adoption, and engagement of the programs, transforming how marketing and comms trains and learns. Incorporate industry and L&D best practices into curriculum development. Constantly maintain a deep sense of curiosity and a learning mindset.Define and measure success:
Identify KPIs and build a robust system to track and measure success and impact metrics across learning, business, and people outcomes.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s DegreeA seasoned senior leader with 10+ years of progressive work experience.At least 5 years building Learning and Development programs for a global organization.Experience launching and scaling Learning and Development programs globally.Effective communications skills with the ability to influence at all levels including senior executives, articulate a compelling vision, and deliver storytelling through data.Preferred Qualifications:
Strongly prefer at least 2 years prior experience supporting a global Marketing organization.Strong knowledge of AI capabilities Marketing and Comms needs today and in the future.Understanding of the marketing and comms field with a pulse on L&D and industry best practices.Experience working with a global technology company.The base pay range for this role is $146,650 to $219,950 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).
