Part Time (3 days per week) Legal Counsel

If you have a passion for automotive law, regulatory compliance, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.Autoleague operates 60+ franchise points across WA & Victoria and represents some of the strongest brands in the industry, including Toyota, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Volkswagen and more.As Legal Counsel, you will provide expert legal advice and guidance to all our corporate entities on a wide range of matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role is required to mitigate legal risks, foster a culture of compliance, and support the overall strategic objectives of the organisation.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ensure the Group’s activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, providing proactive guidance to mitigate legal risks.Oversee and manage legal disputes, including liaising with external counsel, developing strategies, and representing the Group’s interests in legal proceedings.Provide advice on corporate governance matters, including board and committee processes and disclosure requirements.Collaborate with internal departments, cross-functional teams, and external partners to address legal issues and provide timely and effective legal support.Implement risk management procedures to protect the company from disputes and compliance concerns.Produce legal documents such as contracts and other documentation required.YOU:Bachelor of Laws (or similar) with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal professional.Experience with legal disputes and court hearings.Possess a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations in the automotive industry, with a focus on contract law, corporate governance, and compliance matters.Demonstrated experience in managing legal disputes, including litigation strategy and alternative dispute resolution.Proven ability to assess and manage legal risks effectively, providing strategic advice to minimize potential liabilities.Outstanding written and oral communication skills.Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.Sound time management skills and ability to work within time constraints.Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.Excellent work ethic with the ability to work as a self-directed member of our corporate team.What’s in it for YOU?Fantastic long-term career opportunity with a leading automotive group!Part-time position, flexible working arrangement.Opportunities for career growth.Vibrant team environment and supportive management.Friendly and supportive company culture and management team.Access to free, professional counselling through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).If you are ready to take the next step in your career and join an employer known for outstanding working conditions and culture, forward your resume by clicking
