The Assistant to the Associate Provost for the Schaumburg Campus provides support to the Associate Provost of RU-Schaumburg in achieving goals centered around campus management and support, student enrollment and community outreach, events, and alumni engagement. This position serves as the initial point of contact for internal and external constituents, provides a consistent on-campus presence, and establishes and manages outcomes data and external contacts.

Under the leadership of the Associate Provost, the position will assist in managing day-to-day issues around campus oversight, and will interface with contacts across the university as well as external contacts in carrying out duties.

This is a full-time, exempt administrative position located primarily in Schaumburg.

This position reports to the Associate Provost. Limited evening and weekend hours are required to facilitate services and events. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Ability to lead and complete project-based initiatives, track outcomes, compile and confidentially maintain records, organize and oversee multiple recurring tasks. Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external constituents including timely and responsive communications, demonstrated superior organizational, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt’s core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with internal and external constituents, students, faculty and staff, and visitors. Demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Basic office equipment (desktop computer, copier/multi-function device, fax and telephone). Working Conditions:

Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 30 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition. Moderate level of stress. Occasional travel within the local or regional setting may be required. Essential Job Functions Office of the Associate Provost Support management of campus as a whole, resolving problems directly when possible, and referring issues to COO when needed. Assist the Associate Provost in supporting students, faculty, and staff in all academic programs on campus. Support the Associate Provost by serving as point of contact for outreach from internal and external constituents, schedule meetings for Associate Provost with Schaumburg campus members, current and potential partners, ensure regular engagement and follow up with constituents. Develop and maintain current list of external contacts. Create a campus-wide newsletter with content relevant to RU-Schaumburg students as well as faculty and staff, at least once per term. Post content on social media at least weekly. Develop RU-Schaumburg Alumni Database and conduct regular outreach to RU-Schaumburg graduates. Support Schaumburg Advisory Council, as well as program-specific advisory councils for Schaumburg programs, including regular communication with council members, schedule and organize meetings. Assist in collecting pertinent data and maintaining a dashboard of progress based on the Strategic Plan. Support data tracking and reporting to university and other constituents as needed, provide reports and data as needed for accreditation of Schaumburg programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Events and Activities Plan and execute events on campus for students, programs, and external constituents. Support off-campus events, as well as events planned by Schaumburg programs as needed. Coordinate campus-based student activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
