About Harmonic . Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Revenue Manager to join our Finance team in San Jose, CA. You will report to the Director of Revenue. Location
Hybrid role – with onsite work for 2 days at our San Jose office. What you will be doing
Review/Analysis/Documentation of complex revenue arrangements, particularly related to projects, software sales, SaaS and revenue policies. Support monthly closing activities including, but not limited to, reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, reviewing account reconciliations, and documenting revenue conclusions. The key point person for technical revenue accounting guidance to the global organization. Manage three to four experienced analysts. Ownership of revenue forecast process. Key business partner to divisional finance and senior sales executives to ensure that the global revenue accounting function delivers timely, accurate, optimized and reliable revenue reporting. Ensure complete compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements as laid out for revenue accounting and improve controls where necessary. Satisfy all quarterly and annual audit requirements for our external auditors. Create revenue processes consistent with a 5-day quarterly Close. Drive toward systems consistent with business practice, best practice and efficiency. Develop and enhance existing revenue analysis by relevant analysis of revenue by geographical area and by product line. Ensure that the product divisions have necessary revenue information to support their needs including ongoing training. Lead efforts to develop policies and procedures that streamline revenue operations processes. Maintenance of RevPro software package. What you will need to succeed
BA / BS degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, MBA or equivalent preferred. Mastery of contract accounting, software and 606 revenue recognition principles and their application to complex transactions. Ability to work with all levels of management and external and internal auditors. Big 4 accounting experience preferred. 6-8 years progressive experience in accounting or finance. Advanced skills in Excel / spreadsheet modeling. Oracle cloud and Zuora Revenue/RevPro experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence and negotiate with others. Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Pay & Benefits
