Our products and pipeline cover a broad range of therapeutic areas, including hepatology, gastroenterology, anti-infectives, critical care, endocrinology, CNS, and, more broadly, rare diseases.We can only achieve our ambition with the passion of our dedicated and highly qualified people, acting in line with our company values of entrepreneurship, speed, and integrity.About the RoleAs ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital, and rare disease medicines, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel.What You’ll Do:Support the Head of Legal (APAC and LAMEA) and the General Counsel in relation to legal and compliance activities of the global business.Take primary responsibility for all contracts and legal issues arising out of the business units that form part of Global Operations and Transformation Office, checking material points with the Head of Legal and the General Counsel where necessary.Act as primary legal representative to Global Ops and TO, providing clear, concise and practical legal advice on issues and contracts, and ensuring that the Legal department is consulted where appropriate.Provide other support and assistance to the General Counsel and Head of Legal to ensure the Company’s Legal and Compliance department functions efficiently and effectively.Business partner and legal counsel to Global Ops, including the Vice-President of Sourcing, Procurement and Supplier Development and other SAM professionals.Provide legal support to Global Ops and Supply Chain in relation to commercial contracts with third parties.Monitor developments in legislation and industry practice affecting the business functions and assist with communication and implementation of necessary changes.Assist the General Counsel in ensuring Group Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Support global projects and other global business units as required.Support the business in M&A and business development activities.Active collaboration with the global legal and compliance community.Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and take accountability for results.Consistent demonstration and embodiment of company core values: Entrepreneurship, Speed, and Integrity.Drive the spirit of “One Team” by working collaboratively across all business functions.About YouWe are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference to patients’ lives.Qualifications:Graduate or post-Grad Law degree.Law school or Bar School qualified.Significant experience in a quality law firm or in-house legal department in the pharmaceutical industry.Through knowledge of corporate and commercial law.International experience, including Europe and North America.Intellectual Property and Anti-trust/Competition law experience.High level of competence in English, both written and spoken.Ability to handle a broad workload and work with colleagues across a broad range of disciplines.A positive and ‘can-do’ approach, biased towards finding solutions and embracing change.Why ADVANZ PHARMA?The success of any company is driven by its people, and we are no different.
