About the RoleThe Recruitment Manager is integral in shaping the workforce at Making Waves Academy (MWA) by managing full-cycle recruitment processes, executing comprehensive recruitment cycles, plans, and strategies. Reporting to the Senior Director of People, the Recruitment Manager ensures MWA attracts, selects, and retains top-tier talent aligned with MWA’s mission, values, and goals. The Recruitment Manager implements inclusive recruitment practices, cultivating a diverse pool of high-quality candidates across all positions.Most importantly, with great attention to detail and a strong customer service orientation, the Recruitment Manager serves as a primary ambassador, embodying its values and fostering a culture of excellence.

Bachelor’s Degree required and 5+ years experience in full-cycle recruitment management, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making offers across various levels and functions.Experience within a K-12 or similar educational setting is strongly desired, and knowledge of California teacher credentialing is helpful.Deep understanding and adeptness with Applicant Tracking Systems and other technology platforms.Adaptability and resilience in responding to changing priorities, unforeseen challenges, and evolving recruitment needs while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to excellence.Highly goal-oriented and focused on outcomes. Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.A data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze recruitment metrics and make data-backed decisions; considers the quality of hires along with volume and speed.ResponsibilitiesManage the entire applicant lifecycle within JazzHR, including communications between hiring managers, candidates, and the People Operations team.Manage the ATS, day-to-day and long-term. This includes regular assessments to ensure it is optimized to meet MWA’s evolving needs.Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure an efficient and effective hiring experience, and to promote hiring as a top priority school-wide. Implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidates who align with the organization's culture and values.Cultivate relationships with potential candidates as the primary point of contact throughout the hiring process and effectively communicate MWA’s mission, goals, and impact. Deliver a streamlined, positive candidate experience throughout the full-cycle recruitment process, including screening, candidate engagement, interview panel facilitation, offer negotiations, and campus tours.Use data-driven approaches to optimize recruitment outreach. Regularly report on metrics, such as time to hire, quality of hire, diversity metrics, candidate satisfaction, retention and turnover rates, and other relevant indicators.Utilize various sourcing strategies, including MWA's ATS and external job boards, to attract a diverse pool of top-tier candidates. Ensure accurate job posting and advertising processes that align with MWA’s needs.Provide ongoing support and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, offering expertise on best practices, compliance requirements, and system utilization.Develop and deliver training to enhance the ATS user effectiveness of hiring managers and interview panelists.
