Director, Field Human Resources - 16475
Role Description:Strategically partner with AAR leaders to establish a positive environment to promote growth within multiple business units. Ensure all corporate policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements, including those from EEO, Department of Labor, and Affirmative Action policies are followed and adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business leaders to implement strategic programs to respond to employee survey results and continually enhance environment.
Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance (i.e. Affirmative Action, EEO, Department of Labor).
Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development to prepare for succession and business growth.
Direct team efforts to provide appropriate support and timely response relative to all employee relations issues and investigations.
Annually review and make recommendations to Executive Management for improvement of AAR's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure AAR's compliance.
Recruit, interview, and select employees to fill open positions at all levels in consideration of succession needs and affirmative action goals.
Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, affirmative action, and sexual harassment.
Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews.
Consult with legal counsel on personnel matters as appropriate and keep Group HR informed accordingly.
Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
Participate on committees and special projects and seek additional responsibilities.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
10 years HR experience
Strong recruiting skills and experience
Strong employee relations experience
High sense of urgency
Ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
High level technical skills
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
