Quantitative Developer - hedge fund

The Quantitative Development team works directly with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers designing, implementing, deploying, and using software for research and trading purposes.As part of the quant team, quantitative developers use modern development principles and work with technical peers to ensure that the tools developed can be implemented efficiently and elegantly, allowing for broad adoption across the firm.Job Responsibilities:
Work with quantitative researchers to design and build efficient and scalable workflows for research and trading.Collaborate closely with other quants and colleagues in technology to ensure consistency across the firm to maximize the re-use of core software components.Assist in building and maintaining automated solutions for core trading and research infrastructure.Assume ownership of projects throughout their full production deployment life cycle.Improve documentation and procedures for end users, quant, and development teams.Lead discussions about projects and generate ideas for potential areas of development and/or research.Contribute to the firm's overall data strategy.Requirements:
BS/MS degree in computational science, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Electrical Engineering.Familiarity with mathematical and statistical tools, such as regression analysis, time-series analysis, or constrained optimization is a plus.Ability to process and manipulate large volumes of data.Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the firm.Proficiency in Python and SQL to write software, process data, perform calculations, and generate reports.Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Highly motivated and intellectually curious individual with a keen eye for automation.Well-organized, proactive, resourceful, and able to handle a fast-paced environment.Experience in the financial industry is a plus but not an absolute requirement.Excellent technical communication skills.In addition to an interesting and challenging role, the firm offers highly competitive compensation, salary/bonus, and great benefits.
