Job SummaryWe are seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive the financial strategy of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and will have experience as an accountant, Chief Financial Officer or a high-level Controller in the Agricultural industry, preferably in a senior role. This leadership role requires an individual who can effectively oversee financial reporting, account reconciliation, and business development initiatives while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate would have fresh produce experience or experience working for a Grower-Shipper and/or Importer in the Western United States. Experience working within a family business is helpful but not necessary.Primary Duties:Maintain the Company’s complete general ledger, including making entries.Manage the AP, AR, Grower Payable teams to ensure adequacy of controls.Understand and direct the accounting operations and processes from control systems, transaction processing, policies, and procedures in compliance with GAAP reporting requirements.Manage the timely and accurate monthly accounting close process and publishing of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement analysis to ensure accuracy of reported results.Complete balance sheet reconciliations.Develop and implement financial reporting and control systems to support business.Lead the annual GAAP audit with third party auditor, as well as other required regulatory reporting.Partner with external CPAs for the annual tax planning and resulting final tax return and K1 distribution to partners.Assist as needed with necessary tax planning initiatives and other reporting.Prepare the monthly borrowing base reports for the bank and lead any bank audits.Prepare Annual Budget and Mid-year Reforecasts.Prepare a monthly reporting package for ownership.Manage the company’s Line of Credit to ensure maximum efficiencies and financial effectiveness.Secondary Duties:Together with the Managing Member and the Vice President of Operations, manage the relationship with the Bank.Provide analytics and reporting as needed and requested by Management.Handle project specific work from time to time in regards to new company creation and support of ERP based projects.Skills:- Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles and practices.- Proficiency in account reconciliation processes.- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.- Expertise in financial management techniques and methodologies, with a strategic mindset.- Excellent written communication skills for effective financial report writing.- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.- Ability to identify opportunities for business development through financial insights.- Five or more years of professional finance or accounting experience.This is an exceptional opportunity for a finance professional looking to make a significant impact within an organization while leading a dynamic team towards achieving its financial goals.Job Type:
