Responsibilities:Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Director, Revenue Growth Management, to drive innovative pricing strategies and promotional campaigns that enhance profitability and market share. This role involves analyzing market trends and consumer behavior to set optimal price points and ensure compliance with pricing regulations. Collaboration with Insights, Brand, Finance, and sales teams is essential for effective pricing frameworks. Key responsibilities include monitoring promotional effectiveness, implementing revenue management strategies, and leading a team of pricing analysts. Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills are essential for success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy Development
Analyze market trends, competitive pricing, consumer behavior to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while staying competitive.
Consider factors like product demand elasticity, production costs, and brand positioning to determine optimal price points.
Strong alignment with Insights, Brand, and Finance teams on Pricing Strategy Development.
Promotion Planning and Execution
Devise promotional campaigns and discount strategies to drive sales volume and increase market share.
Monitor the effectiveness of promotions through sales data analysis and adjust strategies as needed.
Revenue Management
Implement ROI analytics and revenue management strategies to maximize revenue and profitability across different product lines and channel strategies.
Identify opportunities to enhance product margins and profitability through pricing optimization, cost management, and promotional effectiveness.
Utilize pricing optimization tools and techniques to optimize our Brand GTM, Channel Strategy, and specific customer plans.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with sales teams to develop pricing frameworks and guidelines for negotiating contracts with retailers and distributors.
Ensure alignment of pricing and promotion strategies with overall business goals.
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of pricing analysts and promotion specialists.
Data Analysis & Insights
Utilize data analytics tools and market research to gather insights into consumer behavior, pricing trends, and competitive dynamics.
Generate regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, revenue, margin, and market share.
Compliance & Pricing Integrity
Ensure compliance with pricing regulations and laws, including anti-trust laws and pricing transparency requirements.
Monitor pricing discrepancies and unauthorized discounting to maintain pricing integrity and protect brand value.
Continuous Improvement
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in pricing and revenue management.
Continuously evaluate and refine pricing and promotion strategies to adapt to changing market conditions and consumer preferences.
Additional Tasks and Responsibilities
This position develops & executes brand and channel pricing and promotional strategies.
Collaborate with Trade Marketing Managers & Director of Trade Management, & Finance on Trade Planning, Spending and Objectives.
Clear tracking and reporting process for ROI improvement to measure promo optimization, along with consistent updates to all stakeholders.
Assist the channel and customer leaders in development of plans that achieve the DSMP/KPI and net sales/selling margin objectives of each brand.
Maintain strong ROI results from the program execution through clear tracking of performance vs objectives and consistent updates to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
MBA degree preferred
10+ years experience within a CPG organization, experience in customer facing sales position is preferred but not required
5+ years experience with Financial and Consumption data, with a focus on trade promotions, supporting Marketing, Trade, or Sales within a CPG organization
Experience with agency leadership
