The Solutions Engineering Specialist (SES) partners with Specialist Business Sales to sell T-Mobile for Business products and services by leveraging their strong technical skills, experience, and industry knowledge. SESs engage in pre-sales activities by consulting on customer opportunities to gain understanding of their business, identify their business challenges, and develop solutions which meet their needs. The SES will architect and design solutions utilizing T-Mobile or partner business solutions, equipment, and network. SESs provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, as well as providing answers to customer's technical inquiries.
SESs further support Specialist Business Sales by reviewing specific customer opportunities and sales funnels. SESs will keep the Specialist Business Sales teams they support apprised of relevant technologies and industry trends. They will also consult with Sales on the technical aspects of T-Mobile for business products and services. As needed, SESs partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales Ops, and Care teams to provide feedback, support special projects, and engage in market-level opportunities. SESs maintain their technical skills and industry expertise by participating in internal and external training opportunities. SESs also pursue and maintain partner or industry certification as required for their position.
Solutions Engineering Specialists (SES) also:
Are well tenured in presales engineering within the fields of Wireless RF Networking, IoT, SASE, and Cloud Architectures.
Understand and present T-Mobile wireless network and related key technologies.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of specialty products focused on 5G Advanced Solutions, Private Networks, SASE/SDWAN, and IoT.
Facilitate wireless network coverage analysis.
Discuss and assist with processing In-Building Coverage requests.
Understand and present product roadmaps as needed.
Understand and present network coverage/network build-out plans as needed.
Assist with post-sale support/escalations as needed.
Maintain high-level portfolio awareness of T-Mobile Global Solutions network and technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Aligns to support Specialist sales teams for Advanced and Complex Solutions.
Supports complex customer opportunities in the most sophisticated customer segments such as Enterprise, Strategic, State/Local Government, Education, or Federal.
Participate in customer meetings, primarily face to face.
Facilitate coverage analysis and review with customers.
Discuss and assist with processing In-Building coverage requests.
Uncover opportunities and recommend solutions.
Understand nuances and drivers.
Design and architect services and solutions.
Close technical hurdles.
Prepare and present technical customer presentations.
Present product roadmaps.
Present network build-out plans.
Demonstrate wireless devices and solutions to customers.
Provide RFP technical input.
Strategize with Sales team to improve Regional/National sales.
Participate in account reviews with customers.
Own customer technical relationships.
Support customer pilots.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in at least TWO areas of focus (Wireless Networking, SASE/Edge Security, Mobile Internet/Routers, IoT, DAS/DRAN Solutions).
Architect or develop standard and non-standard solutions to complex business challenges.
Maintain technical knowledge by attending training in assigned areas.
Maintain adequate level of industry expertise.
Pursue industry certification appropriate to role.
Ensure a positive customer experience.
Assist with high-level support and troubleshooting.
Open tickets and engage appropriate support resources.
Train Sales on technical topics, product updates, Tech Talks.
Conduct customer trainings.
Provide Product/Network/Marketing road-show webinars.
Provide Training and Mentoring to Associate SEs and Engineers as required.
Lead tiger teams or special projects as required.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Required).
Work Experience:
4-7 years of experience in telecommunications, IT administration, or network engineering role with a professional track record of successful solutions sales, managing internal/external relationships in a matrix environment, technical leadership and project management, and providing strategic direction in a leadership role required.
Experience supporting Strategic or Federal Accounts required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Presentations Ability to create and deliver presentations (Required).
Communication Excellent oral and written communications (Required).
Customer Service Strong interpersonal skills (Required).
Software Proficiency with business application software (Required).
Sales Experience with sales methodologies (Preferred).

Minimum Qualifications:

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $112,500 - $202,900, inclusive of target incentives. Base Pay Range: $78,750 - $142,030. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
