Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience. Bonus Potential + Great Benefits
Terrific Planned Giving Officer position with a highly regarded national nonprofit. The Planned Giving Officer will join a relatively new team focused on building out the organization's planned giving initiatives. Responsibilities will include the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of planned giving prospects and maintaining a strong donor portfolio. The Planned Giving Officer must ensure the successful progression of donors and prospects through the moves management process. The position will focus on donors in Florida and expand to other states in the region over time. Candidates should have the strong communication and interpersonal skills needed to develop and steward relationships with donors. Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of fundraising experience. Bachelor's degree or more extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. The position can be located in the Jacksonville, Tampa, or Washington, D.C. areas on a hybrid schedule or in the Miami or Naples areas on a fully remote basis.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of fundraising for a portfolio of planned giving prospects and donors primarily within Florida
Ensure moves management and a properly balanced portfolio
Collaborate across the organization to identify and secure new donors, including the communications, marketing, programs, and other development teams
Develop and implement cultivation strategies
Create donor communications including proposals and stewardship reports
Utilize wealth screening tools to gain new prospects
Travel to meet with prospects and current donors, up to 75% of the time
Qualifications:
5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or related experience; planned giving experience required
Bachelor's degree or more extensive experience in lieu of a degree
Demonstrated experience with the full lifecycle of fundraising for planned gifts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM
Valid state-issued driver's license
Ability to travel for donor meetings, organization events, etc.
