Position:Climate and Energy ManagerJob Description:
Arrow Electronics is seeking a Climate and Energy Manager to join our team. This individual will support the development and execution of Arrow's environmental sustainability strategy. This role will engage across multiple components of our climate and energy work; including but not limited to managing climate transition and mitigation plans, evaluating climate risk and opportunities, and supporting climate target setting.
What You'll Be DoingDevelop a transition plan for climate change mitigation as well as a climate resilience planSupport Arrow leadership to ensure business strategies and models are compatible with the transition to a sustainable economyCollaborate closely with Finance, Risk, and Real Estate teams to measure and disclose how Arrow's climate transition plan is embedded in and aligned with financial planning and investment decision makingDevelop and manage a process to identify climate-related impacts, risks, and opportunities to Arrow and across Arrow's supply chainInform the creation and management of policies related to climate mitigation and resilience planningEvaluate options such as greenhouse gas removal, greenhouse gas storage, and internal carbon pricing in the context of Arrow's sustainability strategy and business objectivesManaging disclosures and ensuring compliance against relevant environmental regulationsAssist Director of Sustainability and other Managers of Sustainability with strategy, project, process, and vendor management
What You'll Need5 years of experience in Sustainability management, environmental reporting, or related areasBachelor's degree with an educational focus in Environmental Sustainability preferred. Master's degree a plusDemonstrated expertise in climate scenario modeling, climate transition planning, and risk and resilience analysis within a corporate business settingStrong organizational, project management, and financial skills to effectively balance competing priorities while adhering to specific deadlinesAdvanced verbal and written communications skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work, collaborate, and influence change across functions, management levels, and globally diverse employee populationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, produce manuals, and prepare presentations and proposals. Must possess ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences with differing levels of subject matter knowledge and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and customersProven self-starter with ability to think and act in a proactive wayProficiency in the MS suite with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
Work Arrangement:Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days from home
