This role will support budgeting, financial strategy, financial reporting, and forecasting, and will also be responsible for managing the accounting team, supporting audit and ledger preparation, and supporting staff and senior accountants across teams with financial accounting procedures.Responsibilities+ Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: month end accounting close, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, and taxes+ Prepare & review consolidated financial reporting packages, including but not limited to monthly and quarterly internal, bank and owner directed financials+ Manage and oversee interim and annual financial audit activities including delegation of assignments, risk identification and collaboration with auditors.+ Develop general ledger staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships+ Monitor and analyze current accounting processes to develop more efficient procedures and proper use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy+ Collaborate with other departments and business leadership to answer questions and address problems+ Training and advising new and existing employees of non-routine accounting transactions+ Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness+ Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requestedQualifications+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.+ 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role+ Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP+ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization+ Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results+ Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
