JJE is looking for a
Tier 1 Automotive Sales Account Manager.
The Sales Account Manager will manage one or more Automotive OEM customer accounts. This will include maintaining existing relationships, quoting engineering changes, negotiations, tracking all cash collection, and ensuring all core JJE processes and procedures are followed.
In addition to following existing processes this role may need to develop, implement, and manage sales and account management processes, and systems. Preparing and presenting regular reports to management. The role requires a detail-oriented and creative manager, comfortable working in a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. The position will continuously seek, vet, recommend, and implement strategies to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of business development. Responsibilities include managing business activities through Weekly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other cadenced and ad-hoc reporting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Respond quickly to any customer requests, ensuring accuracy of data and quality of the response.
•Daily monitoring and follow up of customer portals and emails.
•Track all price changes in a "Bump Chart" to ensure transparency on the price changes and ensure the corresponding PO's match
•Track and ensure all payments are made on time, and report to management on a regular basis.
•Role should be able to gather all necessary information for quotes, utilizing their experience to consider and question all known and unknown potential cost and timing drivers, challenging the inputs, and building the proposal to ensure profitability
•Anticipate and strategize potential challenges with key accounts, demonstrating strong technical negotiation skills.
•Act as an internal consultant with business partners in sales and acquisition activities, communicating findings to make data analysis actionable.
•Break down complex problems to create and implement action plans.
•Understand analysis and computational complexity and solve problems programmatically.
•Design visual interfaces for data interaction.
•Define and implement key business development support systems and processes to meet rapid growth.
•Identify strategy gaps with sales and account management teams and find opportunities for improvement.
•Own and drive cadenced business reporting to provide leaders with an accurate pulse of the business.
•Own the roadmap for sales and acquisition teams, ensuring continuous progress.
Experience and SkillsQualifications:
•
5+ years in Automotive Tier 1 sales
•New business acquisition experience a plus
•Demonstrated ability to define, refine, and implement sales processes, procedures, and policies.
•Strong analytical and communication skills with a track record of presenting to senior management.
•Sound business judgment, ownership, and data-driven analysis skills.
•Proven knowledge of MS Excel for data interpretation and reporting.
•Ability to operate successfully in a lean and fast-paced organization.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's Degree in technical or business field preferred
•5+ years of experience in automotive tier 1 sales
•Experience working with electrified products a plus
•Experience with STLA preferred
•Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees and customers
•Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, preferably with advanced skills for Excel, Powerpoint, and the ability to prepare professional slides and documents for executive level meetings
