Director of Performance Improvement
Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 145-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50-bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. The Director of Performance Improvement is responsible for coordinating and monitoring facility-wide quality management assessment and quality performance improvement, as well as staff training and education on the hospital's performance initiatives and measures including outcomes measuring and reporting.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:Coordinate and direct all Performance Improvement functions through the Governing Body and Medical Executive Committee; recommend and develop facility's policies and procedures that are congruent with the facility Mission and objectivesAct as patient advocate, coordinate surveys, and coordinate all performance improvement functions; coordinate and direct the Performance Improvement function through Governing Body; compare facility performance with similar facilities within the company and utilize these other facilities as a resource for ideasDevelop and ensure the implementation of organization's policies and procedures related to ongoing monitoring and improvement of quality care; maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; work with facility administration to maintain regulatory and accrediting body standardsConduct investigations as appropriate, prepare appropriate documentation, and report occurrences to referring agencies and regulatory agencies, as required by lawBenefit Highlights:

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing, psychology, or other related health field required; Master's Degree preferredFour years of experience in quality and improving organizational performance within a psychiatric treatment settingStrong knowledge of JCAHO and CMS standardsCurrent BLS and CPI required
