Job Summary:Responsible for strategic analyses to forecast financial outcomes and advise on budget allocations, ensuring the agencyu0027s financial plans are aligned with its strategic objectives. Monitors accounting policies, financial standards, insurance, audits, investments, and internal controls to maintain compliance andor mitigate risks. Reviews financial performance and strengthens reporting, relying on a blend of financial expertise, strategic insight, and leadership to support innovation, growth, and decision-making. Communicates on financial matters with internal and external stakeholders.Essential Functions: Develop financial analyses, including long-term forecasting, to help guide the agencyu0027s strategy Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the agency, ensuring accuracy and providing analysis on variances and trends Conduct research and provide strategic analyses and recommendations to executive management, including insights on cost reduction opportunities, revenue growth, cash flow, and capital investment Enhance financial systems and processes to improve forecasting, budgeting, reporting efficiency, and data-driven analytics Collaborate with senior leadership to effectively measure key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the agencyu0027s strategic goals Advise on risk management and implement financial controls to safeguard the agencyu0027s assets Partner with Finance leadership as well as cross-functional teams on special projects and communicate financial insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, including the CEO, board members, and business unit leaders Engage with external service providers in support of investments, insurance, audit, and tax compliance Maintain knowledge of financial regulations and ensure compliance with policies and practices, including Goodwill of North Georgias standard operating procedures Assist in the recruiting, mentoring, and professional development of Finance talent to drive a high-performing team and foster a culture of continuous improvement Other duties as assignedJob Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required; masters degree preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required Ten or more (10+) years experience in a mid to senior level financial management andor accounting position for a mid-size company andor non-profit organization Five or more (5+) years supervisorymanagement experience Deep understanding of accounting, budgeting, Pu0026L forecasting, treasury, and cost control principles Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections Strong financial modeling skills; experience with creating formulas and macros Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and financial management software Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations Proven ability to effect change and meet business goals, monitor progress, and take corrective actions when necessary Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) with experience presenting financial information to senior leaders and external stakeholders Demonstrated ability to lead improvement initiatives through effective problem solving Ability to work independently as well as in a cross functional team Strong ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of organizations and individuals Excellent organizational and leadership skills, ability to maintain productivity and effectiveness in a fast-changing environment with sometimes conflicting priorities; and able to prioritize workloads and resources to meet deadlinesWorking Environment ConditionsRequirements: The ability to push, pull and lift 30 lbs. with or without accommodations Must be able to stand andor walk for extended periods of time Must maintain a valid drivers license and maintain dependable transportation while meeting the standards of the agencys insurance carriers,EqualOpportunityEmployerDescription:Equal Opportunity EmployerProtected VeteransIndividuals with Disabilities,PayTransparencyPolicyStatement:The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
