Job Description
The Senior Director of Actuarial Services leads a team of actuaries responsible for providing strategic pricing direction and thought leadership to Prime's existing and potential owners and clients across all lines of business through the creation and use of innovative actuarial modeling concepts. This position will provide direct oversight to both the rebate and trend projection process, including recommendations around all forecast/prospective trend assumptions across all of Prime's business lines. This position works directly with Finance and functional departments on current and projected product and transactional costs and pricing strategy, as applicable. The position also directly facilitates the development of Prime's Financial Value Statement.
Responsibilities
Leads a team of actuaries to provide strategic pricing advice on structures and methodology using market research, financial projections, and complex actuarial modelingCollaborates with underwriters, client engagement, and senior management on RFP process and other pricing initiatives related to all lines of businessEngages with functional leadership to develop and maintain projected trend assumptions related to utilization, unit cost, and gross/net rebate assumptionsOwns the annual client administrative pricing assumptions and model (owner pricing model)Leads negotiations and presentations and translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiencesManage department budget, staffing, performance and development, and consistently demonstrate Prime's leadership expectations during interactions with direct reports, cross functional and external stakeholdersOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is requiredASA or FSA designation10 years of actuarial work experience at a health plan or PBM7 years of leadership experienceMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorshipAdditional Qualifications
Excellent quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously without compromising qualityStrong client consulting presence; ability to distill complex material into easy to understand presentations, effectively respond to questions and engage a variety of audiencesAbility to communicate effectively with senior leaders across the organizationPreferred Qualifications
Master's degree or credentialed equivalentExperience in identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex pharmacy benefit challengesStrong understanding of pharmacy plan designMinimum Physical Job Requirements
Ability to travel up to 20% of the timeConstantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hearFrequently required to reach with hands and armsOccasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouchOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusReporting Structure

Potential pay for this position ranges from $190,500.00 - $304,300.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
