Essential ResponsibilitiesWork from drawings, sketches, and other instructions to perform machining operations such as mill, turn, face, bore, groove, contour, dovetail, drill, tap, etc. to precise electrical and mechanical tolerancesQualifications/Requirements
Associate's Degree in a Machining discipline and a minimum of 1 year general machine shop experience in set-up and operation of a variety of manual and CNC machines: including mills, drills, grinders, broaches, turret lathes, horizontal bore, EDM, engine lathes, etc.OR
High School Diploma/GED with a Machining certification from an accredited university with courses that cover: Mathematics, CNC Milling, CNC Lathes, Print Reading, Machine Tooling, G&M code, FANUC controls, and hands on machine application (i.e. capstone, shop hours) and a minimum of 1 year general machine shop experience in set-up and operation of a variety of manual and CNC machines: including mills, drills, grinders, broaches, turret lathes, horizontal bore, EDM, engine lathes, etc.OR
High School Diploma / GED with a Journeyman's card with completion of a Machining apprentice program and a minimum of 1 year general machine shop experience in set-up and operation of a variety of manual and CNC machines: including mills, drills, grinders, broaches, turret lathes, horizontal bore, EDM, engine lathes, etc.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability, with or without accommodation, to lift/push/pull at least 50 poundsAbility and willingness to work overtime as requiredAbility and willingness to work occasional weekend shiftsAbility and willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoesAbility and willingness to take a pre-employment test and submit to technical interviewLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. The pay for this position is $34.27 per hour with a $3.35 per hour transition adder. This position is also eligible for contractually negotiated general wage increases and COLA increases. This position is eligible for a $1.00 per hour Night Shift Bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
