Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Senior Architect to run trade analyses at the intersection of design and manufacturing. As part of our Advanced Product Development team, you will work with the R&D, Design, Process, Equipment Manufacturing, and Factory Design teams to make data-driven trade-offs on the best way to design and manufacture our next generation of product. As high impact design or process opportunities are identified, you will carry out further design and experimental work to prove out these concepts. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!
What you'll do:
Build techno-economic models to inform trade-offs between design and process. Collaborate with engineers across R&D, Design, Process, Equipment Manufacturing, and Factory Design teams to deeply understand the requirements and constraints that drive design and manufacturing of Form's product and will drive the model. Lead decisions on product design and requirements, engineering investment, and factory design. Carry out design, analysis and experiments to progress high impact design and process opportunities from ideation to proven concept. What you'll bring:
5+ years of experience in product design and/or manufacturing. Experience building techno-economic and system models to inform product, process and factory design. Demonstrated experience in developing innovative design and or manufacturing processes and scaling them from proof-of-concept through production.
