The APAC Sales Manager, Business Development (Global Prepaid) will report to the President of Business Development (Global Prepaid). This position's key focus will be to grow and maintain the global prepaid gift card business for Roblox in APAC. The APAC Sales Manager will be based in Japan and should be detail oriented and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the global prepaid gift card industry, as well as financial product reporting, and analysis. This person will lead the Roblox prepaid gift card business across APAC with the primary goal of growing sales and profitability.
Opportunity is a Full-time Contract position within the Tokyo, Japan region
You Will:
Work with the Global Business Development team, primarily based in the United States to maintain and grow key relationships within the APAC regionDrive APAC region prepaid gift card sales and revenue by maintaining or exceeding the quarterly quota planTake the lead for sales tracking, reviews, issue management, and strategy collaborationBe the key communicator and point of contact for multiple internal and external teamsHandle account objectives with the support of the internal prepaid card teamConsult on project strategy based on industry and company knowledgeAnalyze and adapt new strategies to react to changing business trends and legal requirementsLead regular business reviews with key retail accounts in the APAC regionTravel periodically to regional meetingsMainly work within the APAC time zone including weekly meetings within the Pacific standard time zoneYou have:
BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years sales management experience in the prepaid gift card industryHistory of managing large scale gift card business and increasing annual sales and profitability.Proven ability to successfully achieve or exceed yearly sales quotaAbility to analyze sales data, market trends, and advertising metrics to make data-driven decisionsDemonstrated experience in managing global client relationships, including negotiating contracts, setting performance goals, and ensuring customer satisfactionExcellent verbal, written, and executive level interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasivelyProactive approach to identifying issues, finding solutions, and implementing changes to improve performanceAbility to work optimally within a team environment, collaborating with marketing, business development, product/eng development, finance, and tax/legal teamsComfortable using various software tools and platforms, including Excel, Google Analytics, and other e-commerce and advertising technologiesUnderstanding of the Roblox platform; content, developer community, features, payment products and platform policiesFluency in both Japanese and EnglishRoles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
