We offer competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs to support you and your family.To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for developing medium and low voltage power systems for water treatment systems;Designing single lines, riser diagrams, power plans, schematics, and equipment specifications;Specifying motor controllers including VFDs;Specifying equipment for instrumentation and controls (I&C);Provide field support for projects during startup and commissioning;Interface with process, mechanical, and civil engineers to understand system application;Coordinate with clients to provide requested systems;Interface with PLCs and drive systems; andTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical, I&C, and mechanical component issuesFieldwork:

Up to 25%Education and Licensure:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. (required)Advanced degree in electrical engineer engineering. (preferred)Ability to obtain P.E. within 5 years (preferred)Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
At least 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)Experience designing medium or low voltage electrical systems for industrial applications.Experience designing single lines, riser diagrams, power plans, schematics, and equipment specifications.Experience performing load calculations for sizing power distribution equipment.Knowledge of equipment grounding.Knowledge of specifying feeder cables.Experience with system construction including the installation of electrical equipment, conduit, and grounding.Understanding of instrument wiring and connections to PLC controllers.Proficient knowledge of the NEC.Experience designing lighting systems for industrial buildings.Understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).Self-starter with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement, and willingness to develop into subject matter expert. Must possess excellent communication, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills.I&C design experience, selecting instruments and creating P&IDs, along with writing specifications. (preferred)Arc flash analysis experience. (preferred)Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
