Overview
As an experienced Contract & Claims professional in the Heavy Civil market, you will join a high-performing project controls team that plays a critical role in ensuring the profitable execution of our projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in analyzing pre-bid proposals and contract documents to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks during the pursuit and bid phases. Additionally, you will provide ongoing support for active projects, addressing any contractual issues that may arise.What you will be doing
Analyzes proposal and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities.
Identifies and pursues risk mitigation and risk transfer opportunities in close collaboration with the operational pursuit teams, business development, legal, insurance, and procurement.Coordinates all risk review and management activities throughout the various Bid Review Committee (BRC) phases to ensure all key risks resolved by time of bid delivery.Develops risk transfer strategies for joint venture, design agreements and main subcontracts.Prepares opinions and facilitates executive decision making with respect to key issues in project pursuits.Develops risk review and control tools, including policies, processes and systems.Develops trustful relationships key with stakeholders in estimating, business development, operations, and create alignment on the Company's risk management philosophies.Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan.Perform additional assignments per management's direction.What we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field required.5+ years' experience with construction project contracts required.Experience with contracts, negotiations, pursuit management preferred.Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking skills required.Excellent verbal and written skills required.Strong collaboration and team player attitude.
