Mass General Brigham (MGB) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Manager, Digital Consulting Services (DCS) within the Information Services (IS) department at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). This position will be responsible for leading two critical Strategic Planning & Performance (SPP) teams: Collaboration & Productivity Tools and Digital Health Innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare technology, digital strategy, product management, and project management to drive innovation and efficiency across the organization.

The Senior Manager, DCS will direct the activities of two pivotal teams within the IS SPP organization.Collaboration & Productivity Tools Team: This team is responsible for evaluating, developing, implementing, and optimizing collaboration and productivity tools across DFCI. The Senior Manager will lead efforts to enhance communication, collaboration, and efficiency through the strategic deployment of digital tools and platforms.Digital Health Innovation Group: This team focuses on identifying, assessing, and implementing innovative digital solutions to advance patient experience and care, improve workflows, and drive operational excellence. The incumbent will spearhead initiatives to leverage emerging technologies and trends to transform healthcare delivery within DFCI.

In this new leadership role at DFCI, the DCS manager will work with these teams to develop a roadmap that aligns with institute priorities. Close collaboration with peer SPP teams and IS domains is key to filling technology gaps without duplicating efforts, all the while ensuring data security and protection.

Principal Duties

Works with senior leadership to establish goals and objectives including the definition of work products and timelines.Develops and executes strategic plans to support the organization's digital transformation goalsInteracts with clinicians, staff, and all levels of management, including senior leadership.Proactively fosters relationships with MGB Digital and DFCI business leaders for strategic and tactical partneringCollaborates with stakeholders across the Dana-Farber organization to understand business needs and translate them into actionable strategies and initiativesSelects and prioritizes work using request intake and management systemLeads cross-functional teams to assess, select, and implement collaboration, productivity, and digital health solutionsWorks on medium to high complexity projects and/or servicesSupports the IS portfolio of programs and projectsEmploys service management and/or project management methodologies to deliver high quality work products.Communicates progress and accomplishments using analytics and dashboard reportingOversees platform governance, administration, SLAs, and evergreen practicesMonitors and evaluates the performance of digital tools and solutions, identifying areas for improvement and optimizationWorks with Training & Performance team to provide recommended education with delivered solutionsAdheres to regulatory and policy requirements including data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology compliancePromotes and encourages a high-quality customer service experience for all customers - internal and externalProvides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, high performance, and continuous improvementDrives innovation by staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practicesMaintains professional affiliations to stay on top of evolving information systems management strategies, tactics and technologies.Manages relationships with relevant vendors, consultants, and contractors to assure delivery of contracted services and products. May engage in negotiations with vendors.Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, healthcare administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)Minimum of 10 years of experience in information services, digital consulting, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a managerial roleDeep consultative experience with demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical programs which deliver real business valueProficiency in developing strategic organizational plansProven track record of successfully leading digital transformation initiatives, preferably within the healthcare industry.Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Experience with change management and organizational development.Solid understanding of collaboration and productivity tools, low-code and no-code applications, digital health technologies, healthcare IT systems, and infrastructure platforms.Digital competency in standard applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Smartsheet, Zoom

Preferred

Qualifications:Advanced certifications or training in project management and/or ITKnowledge of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain in the context of healthcare.Experience working in a large healthcare system or academic medical center
