GENERAL SUMMARY
Operate bus safely, providing transportation for the public and employees, primarily between parking lots and the terminal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate bus in a safe, efficient manner in highly congested areasProvide direction and assistance to the publicHandle complaints in a responsible, respectful mannerMaintain bus in safe operating condition throughout the shift, i.e., periodically clean windows, adjust mirrors, check lights, etc.Check safety features of the busRefuel bus and wash windows at the end of shiftWash and clean busesDirect trafficEngage in snow removal procedures as directed by the supervisorConduct off-premises bus runs and provide transportation services for special events as directed by the supervisorObserve and report all unusual security situations to the Police DepartmentObserve and report security violations, unusual situations, hazardous conditions and traffic congestion problemsComplete all individually assigned duties in accordance with stated department and IAA policies, goals, rules and regulationsPerform all of the essential functions of the job outlined above without creating a direct threat to the safety of oneself, subordinates, or other person(s) in and around the airportMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must possess class B CDL with a passenger and air brake endorsementAge 21 or over with a valid commercial driver's license and a good driving recordEffectively communicate and comprehend English, both orally and in writingPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to operate bus and other motor vehiclesAbility to climb stairs and equipmentAbility to walk, crawl, sit, stand, push, pull, bend, stoopHave full physical dexterity and agilityHave excellent hand/eye coordinationAbility to write, talk see, hearAbility to operate an airport radioAbility to lift and carry 35 pounds up steps; lift 35 pounds to middle shelf; lift 25 pounds to top shelfAbility to perform required essential job functions in various environmental settingsAbility to drive and work in all types of environmental conditionsWORK ENVIRONMENT
