We are seeking a
Catastrophe Risk Manager
to manage all daily aspects of Catastrophe Risk and Exposure Management for E&S Property:Oversee, refine, enhance Underwriting processes related to SOV Processing, Cat PricingProvide UW guidance on individual submissions, renewal actions, overall book profileSupervise automated processes to compile and report Monthly Rollup modelingActively analyze portfolios, deliver actionable insights based on Optimization and ProfitabilityMonitor, analyze, and report on potential and active Cat eventsSupport business planning, profit studies, reinsurance purchase, regulatory reportingCollaborate across Underwriters, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Risk Management, to ensure alignmentRESPONSIBILITIES
Process Management: Design, Implementation, Refinement
UW Pricing/Risk Analysis WorkflowRisk Aggregation, Rollup Modeling, Portfolio OptimizationData Solutions, Standardized Reporting
Portfolio Management
Performance, Profitability AnalyticsPortfolio Optimization
Exposure Management
Capacity Allocation, ManagementReinsurance Analytics, ReportingRegulatory Reporting
Data Analytics / Management
Provide guidance, insight into Exposure Data Repository design, implementation, tooling

Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of cat modeling experience, ideally AIR/Touchstone; Property Insurance understanding a mustTalented analyst, critical-thinker, pragmatic problem-solver; effective collaborator, communicatorProven ability to effectively analyze, process, visualize, and communicate complex quantitative information in impactful, actionable waysStrong SQL knowledge, particularly for mining Cat Modeling data; Skilled in Microsoft ExcelExperience using Exposure Management, Portfolio Optimization tools, such as Analyze Re, a plusWorking knowledge of Python or R a plus; Working knowledge of QGIS or ARCGIS Software a plus

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $110-125k. The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate. In addition, all employees are eligible for competitive annual incentive targets, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
