High Performance Medical Solutions (HPMS), is a global contract manufacturer for OEMs. We specialize in manufacturing medical tubing and cable, which are mission-critical components in the surgical, vascular, endoscopy, and ultrasound device markets. Our ISO Class 8 and Class 9 cleanrooms provide over 30,000 ft2 of cleanroom space allowing us to offer robust in-house solutions such as turnkey secondary operations like tipping, printing, punching, sub-assembly for catheters, plus device kitting.
Position Summary
The custodian will maintain a clean working environment for all staff and visitors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
Essential Functions

Cleans and disinfects assigned facilities, including but not limited to offices, conference rooms, kitchens, restrooms, break rooms, storage areas, and shipping/receiving warehouseSanitizes high-touch surfaces such as handles, railings, doors, furniture, and equipmentSweeps, mops, and waxes floors and stairways; dust and polishes furniture and metal work; vacuums and cleans carpets; washes walls, woodwork, and windows; cleans sinks, toilets, showers, and appliancesCollects and properly disposes of trash and recycles from offices, production break rooms, and bathroomsMonitors, replenishes, and installs supplies such as soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning wipes, air fresheners, light bulbs, air filters, batteries, kitchen/meeting provisions, and other materials used by building occupantsChecks inventory and condition of janitorial supplies and equipment and follows procedures for replenishing as neededMonitors buildings for cleaning/maintenance needs; informs supervisor of needs and issuesMoves and sets up furniture, equipment, boxes, and supplies for building users. Arranges and break-down rooms as directed for meetings and other functionsPerforms special projects and related responsibilities as initiated and requestedPerforms other related duties as required, directed, or as the situation dictatesMust be able to detect odors and distinguish colorsFrequently required to lift, move and or push furniture and equipment which may weigh up to 50 poundsOccasionally works from laddersObey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviorsImmediately report unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervisionQualifications
Required
Valid driver's license and ability to provide own vehicle for use during the workday as needed to travel to various facilitiesPhysical agility is necessary to access all areas to be cleanedMust be able to follow instructions and labels on cleaning supplies and equipmentCommunicate effectively and tactfully with all employees and supervisorsCapable of working efficiently and independentlyAbility to take instruction and apply using judgment in various situationsCapable of working efficiently and independentlyMust be able to manage time effectively, and maintain a schedule, however, remain flexible for ad-hoc projects or spot cleaningPreferred
