We are looking for a responsible delivery driver to distribute research products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional, safe and cost-effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.Starting Rate:
$33/hour + full benefits within 30 days of hireSchedule:Monday: 6am start time, home in eveningTuesday: 6am start time, home in eveningWednesday: 6am start time, home in eveningThursday: OFFFriday: 11pm Friday start time, run team driving transfer route from Greenfield to Lenexa, KSSaturday: run route through Saturday evening around 11pmSunday: OFFPreferred Experience:Forklift and warehouse experience
Reefer operation and troubleshootingElectronic log experienceElectric pallet jack operation and touch freight experiencePreferred Skills:Familiarity with using smart phone and Outlook for regular communicationAbility to organize and complete paperwork regularlyCommunicate professionally with leadership and warehouse teamsComfortable transporting animals and productsWilling to fill in as backup driver if neededComfortable with running team transfer route from Greenfield to Lenexa, KS every Friday - SaturdayResponsibilities
Fully understand how to operate and safely drive a Company-assigned vehicleDrive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbsUndertake overnight trips as requiredAdhere to all company SOPs ensuring highest levels of Animal Welfare during transportationPick-up and safely transport goods to intended destinationEnsure contents are properly secured in truck to prevent damage/injuryObtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveriesAssist in mapping driving routesStay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport and deliveryCommunicate with Company personnel (supervisor) as neededConfirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest documentPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripCheck weather conditions and road reports before departureAlways ensure Company vehicle is kept cleanNotify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounteredFollow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate timesMaintain detailed driving and delivery logsTrack and report working hoursAdhere to company rules and regulationsUndertake and complete company training on timeObey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditionsComply with ICC and DOT regulationsAlways make safety a priorityOther duties as assignedPick and Pack Warehouse materialBe available to assist Warehouse manager when neededBe flexible to adapt to different delivery routes and schedulesQualifications
CDL Class-A requiredAt least 5 years of CDL driving experienceSuccessful completion of a motor vehicle driving record checkAble to follow detailed instructions and communicate in EnglishStrong ability to pay attention to detailPossess good customer relations skillsSamsara experience a plusAble to lift up to 70 lbsForklift and warehouse experienceAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishMust be available for specialty runs at early hours or for late starts, as needed*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
