We connect un-/underemployed first-gen college graduates to one another-within cohorts and across "generations" of cohorts. By growing their peer professional networks, members of our community achieve upward economic mobility by building the skills and connections they need for the careers they deserve.
Our intervention for underemployed graduates has produced compelling wage outcomes for thousands of first-generation and low income grads in New York, California, Illinois, and Florida. Within 12 months of program completion, four-in-five COOP alumni are fully employed.

What You Will Do
COOP Careers is seeking a person with a dynamic passion for working with young adults entering the workplace. This person is enthusiastic, hardworking, and dedicated to the personal and professional well-being of the COOP fellows.
Reporting to the National Senior Director of Social Work, the Clinical Supervisor will have primary regional oversight over all clinical-related and case management activities in California. This is a full-time position overseeing clinical and workshop services to fellows throughout the program across California. This will include providing one-on-one short-term treatment sessions, case management services, and curriculum-based workshops to our fellows as well as providing supervision and support to incoming Social Work Managers working towards licensure.
Responsibilities
Supervise Social Work Managers (40%)
Supervise ACSW Social Work ManagerProvide consultation for high level/high risk cases if/when they ariseAssisting Social Work Managers with case transfers and resource allocationWeekly clinical supervision with Social Work Managers and colleagues in other regionsConduct group case management meetings and monthly clinical debriefs with clinical teamCOOP Fellows Wellbeing (30%)
Provide short-term treatment sessions, case management services, and resources and referrals to client caseload as neededConduct initial appointments and intakes of assigned client casesRedesign curriculum & facilitate a minimum of three Heart workshops per cycleComplete all clinical documentation for assigned clients (Intakes, session notes, treatment plans, transition/transfer plans)Update client information and status on Electronic Health Record (EHR) Platform for all COOP fellows assigned to caseloadThoroughly assess and manage crisis situations by utilizing trauma-informed modalities of treatment including but not limited to CBT, mindfulness, client-centered, strengths-based, and biopsychosocial approachesProvide support to COOP fellows by identifying and managing various life stressors impeding their personal and professional developmentProgram and Alumni Support (20%)
Work closely with program managers and other colleagues to gauge and support the well-being of COOP fellowsCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment in delivery of social work contentDevelop and adjust COOP's "heart" curriculum with the support of the Social Work team membersCommunity (10%)
Develop and nurture relationships with community partnersMaintain a living referral system and resource guide to provide tailored interventions based on COOP fellows' needsManage a vibrant, collaborative relationships with community partners and an adept in community referral brokerageAdhere to the NASW Code of EthicsWho We NeedThree (3) years of clinical and supervisory experienceCalifornia State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required for a minimum of 2 yearsQualified Supervisor of Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) in the State of CaliforniaCommitment to anti-oppressive, anti-racist trauma trauma-informed workExperience in group facilitationAbility to treat anxiety, depression, OCD, self-esteem and relationship issues, PTSD, substance abuse, and sexual and physical abuseStrong engagement, assessment, and diagnostic skillsExtensive knowledge of DSM 5Demonstrated experience with comprehensive risk and suicide assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planningExcellent communication and facilitation skills (written and oral) and ability to represent COOP externally to a range of stakeholdersWillingness to adapt and contribute to COOP's feedback-driven cultureAbility to work non-traditional hoursWho You Are
