Position Description:
The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, acts as a resource for clinical support and management staff. Effectively works with the providers, managers and staff to promote quality and cost effective daily operations. Establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships with patients, families, the public and co-workers. This position works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate successful patient interaction with the practice team. This position reflects and carries forward the mission and goals of the practice both internally and throughout the community.
Requirements:
Education/Certification/Licensure
Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.Current Basic Life Support certification.
Experience/Skills/Proficiencies:
Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited nursing school, preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.Understanding of documentation standards.Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.Works well in a team setting and demonstrates strong cooperation skills.Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures.Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously.Experience in a physician office, preferred.
Pay Range: $28.50-$36.00 DOE
