Job Duties
The Infection Control Preventionist plans, directs, organizes, implements, evaluates, and coordinates the Infection Prevention and Control and Antibiotic Stewardship programs in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern such requirements in the facility.
Operates as the facility Employee Health Nurse and resident immunization nurse
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
Must hold current State of Virginia RN license
Current BLS Certification
Current Infection Preventionist certification, or willing to obtain certification within 2 years of employment
Additional Considerations
1-3 Years of geriatric skilled nursing/long-term care experience a plus
