A Day in the Life of a Special Needs School NurseAs a
Special Needs School Health RN , you will:Provide one-on-one care to medically fragile students in their classrooms and during transportation.
Assess children's health needs to develop tailored health plans.
Warmly interact with students, offering patience and kindness as they navigate their health challenges.
Administer medical interventions, first aid, and medications per school and PSI policies.
Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
Collaborate with educational professionals and promote healthy relationships among community health providers, students, and families.
Partner with families to navigate health challenges within the school environment.
What We're Looking ForCurrent RN License
through the Ohio Board of Nursing (required).
Knowledge of
communicable disease prevention
and
medication protocols .
Preferred experience in
tube feeding ,
tracheostomy , and
ventilator care , but not required.
Understanding of
HIPAA laws
and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Friendly and approachable demeanor, with strong communication skills.
