JOB DESCRIPTION:
In this role, the successful candidate will provide leadership and technical oversight for the Fixed Assets Accounting team. This critical role is responsible for all matters relating to the company's fixed assets as well as ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. This position works very closely with the Controller, Accounting Services, VP, Finance and the other senior leaders of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Management of the Fixed Assets Team (currently 4 employees)Lead month end closing activitiesPrepare standard and recurring monthly journal entries into JDE enterprise softwareMonthly account reconciliation work paper preparationPrepare materials for annual balance sheet reviewAnnual tax reportingAccountable for fixed asset management including asset recording and depreciationMonitoring and managing the internal control environment including risk remediation, testing of controls and internal auditsLiaise with parent company, for corporate reportingResponsible for the development and growth of team membersAdheres to and enforces the organization's policies, procedures and Federal/State applicable lawsQUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree specializing in accounting and/or finance5 or more years cost accounting and management experienceVery strong Microsoft Office skills, especially ExcelExperience with 3rd party reporting softwareDemonstrated people leadership and organization skillsCPA and/or MBA preferredExperience with ERP systems, JDE and Hyperion preferred
