Primary Function

The

Material Handler - Receiving Department (1st Shift)

is responsible for transferring manufactured items to the assembly lines to increase efficiency of production and providing any materials for the operators The Material Handler - Receiving will pull sheet-metal racks, HEX and crates to the line and returns to the empty racks to the staging area. Will operate liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to move products or materials

Regularly Scheduled Hours:

1st Shift - Monday - Friday - 6:00am - 2:30pm, OT as needed

Hourly Rate of Pay:

$22.60/hour

Sign On Bonus:

$1500 ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 12 months - must not be on a corrective action for attendance)

Responsibilities

Pulls the filled Sheet metal racks from the staging area or from Sheet-metal department to the assembly station as needed for production. Returns the empty racks to the staging area.Pulls the HEX to the assembly stations as needed for production.Returns the empty racks to the staging area.Pull the wood crates, including bases, tops, and sides, to the assembly stations as needed for production. Returns the empty racks to the staging area.Replenish the Sheet-metal Kanban bins for the assembly stations.Bring Literature packages to the test stations as needed for production.Provide each line with necessary supply of forms or copies they use.Responsible for maintaining organized, identified racks, and staging areas.Responsible for communication with supervisor and leaders of potential parts shortages, or overages for manufactured items.Assist with removal of dunnage such as cardboard, pallets and trash.Assist with daily cycle counts and inventory control in production areas.Read work orders, production schedules, or follow oral instructions to determine materials needed.Recharge batteries, or replace liquefied gas tanks.Responsible for overall shop cleanliness and appearance. Responsible for following general safe work practices. Responsible for maintaining equipment and completing work order request to correct issues.Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED1 year of related work experienceBasic computer knowledge and navigation is helpful. Must have a valid state driver's license and the aptitude to obtain a company forklift license prior to performing forklift dutiesExperience and knowledge of the commercial boilers, water heaters and pool heaters. Prior assembly experience is preferredExcellent communication skills via written and oralSAP experience preferredPhysical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
