Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA Job Description:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.
PTA Responsibilities:• Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment. Reporting adverse responses to treatment immediately to the physical therapist.Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program. Accurately and timely document the need for the skilled service in each record entry.Consistently perform at the required productivity level maintaining effective time management according to daily schedule.Attend and contribute to patient care plan meetings for an interdisciplinary collaboration.Communicates patient's response to treatment and progress towards established goals with supervising physical therapist.Active participation in program development and clinical programming. Identify best practices for Physical Therapy practice and share with Rehab Team.Assist patients in achieving critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner within the community.(PTA) Qualifications:
