Metropolitan Management Company is looking for a highly knowledgeable detail-oriented, part time property management professional to join our team as a Property Manager (preferably on site) in the Capitol Hill/First Hill areas of Seattle. We are a well-established Property Management Company that manages desirable multi-family apartment buildings ranging from 20-200 units. We are strong believers in promoting from within and have built a great sense of community to work in. The position involves overseeing smaller multifamily properties.
Our ideal candidate will be willing to live on-site (preferred), have a high level of integrity, take pride in their work performance, and have the ability to interact and work well with others. We offer a diverse work environment where new ideas are encouraged and hard work is recognized.
Pay Scale: $25-$26/hour DOE + $100-$150 Leasing Commissions
Duties Include:
Market and lease available units, including ad creation and posting, responding to rental inquiries, and showing unitsPrepare and execute rental agreements, including move in and move out inspections in a timely mannerMaintain all digital files in the property management software systemRent collection, including communicating with residents on payment plans, posting notices an following up on late rentsRespond to residents with maintenance requests, and scheduling with vendors or maintenance personnelOversee vendors who perform maintenance and cleaning in the buildingInteract with residents, vendors, peers and corporate team members with a friendly, positive attitudePerform routine property walks to ensure maintenance and custodial issues are promptly addressedRespond to any incoming communication within 24 hoursHave availability to assist residents in the event of an after hours emergencies, such scheduling a vendor for leaksQualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to analyze and solve problemsExcellent written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of safety and protocolsBasic understanding of minor and major maintenance needsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsFlexibility with scheduleStrong organizational and administrative skillsExperience with property management software preferredProperty Management or Real Estate experience preferredWorking knowledge of Washington State Landlord Tenant Law preferred
