Analyst, FP&A .

This role is hybrid - in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Analyst, FP&A is responsible for maintaining and updating the consolidated financial statement model and preparation of accurate and timely financial analyses and management reports.

This position is required to interact with a variety of accounting and finance personnel throughout the Company. Black Diamond places great importance on recognizing and rewarding strong performance and provides an exciting and stimulating work environment.

The appropriate candidate for this role will be a pro-active, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, deadline driven, fast-paced team environment.

ResponsibilitiesUpdate and maintain the accuracy of the monthly consolidated financial statement model along with the long term 5-year model.Gain a thorough understanding of internal reporting requirements and complete monthly internal P&L reports.Prepare and interpret trend analysis for key financial statement items.Prepare key performance indicators analysis.Assist in the forecasting, budgeting, and planning process, including report and graph generation.Assist in creation of presentation workbooks and materials for upper management.Assist in developing new processes for quarterly forecast process. Assist when financial and technical issues arise.Assist Internal and External Reporting with year-end audit.Respond to accounting inquiries in a timely manner from various stakeholders and proactively solve problems.Assist business units with analysis of segment/divisional results.Participate in special projects requiring ad hoc testing and analysis of financial data as needed.Oversee Power BI data upload and review dashboards for accuracy acting as a liaison with the IT team.Prepare commentary on financial results to forecast for quarterly management reporting, and forecasting.Other duties and analysis as required.Qualifications

Post-secondary degree and/or diploma in accounting or finance.Between 1-3 years accounting/finance experience.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent professional business writing skills.Strong skills using MS-Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Familiarity working with Financial Models and complex formulasFamiliarity building graphs

Experience with EPBCS - Oracle Cloud is considered an asset.Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of executives, operations and departments.Proven ability to explain financial concepts to nonfinancial people.Strong interpersonal skills.Pro-active, self-starter.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines.Must be fluent in English, both oral and written.
