Job Description

The Financial Advisor works in concert with the retail branch banking system in a geographically defined territory to provide comprehensive investment and insurance solutions for United Bank customers. An additional business development emphasis on making incremental sales and offer ongoing financial solutions to potential new clients and existing United Brokerage customers

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interface with/train branch employees in an effort to develop a referral pipeline of qualified prospects to ensure bank and employee referral goal attainment.Meet with referred customers in bank setting or customers' homes or offices as requestedCollect and analyze customer data such as income, assets, investment and/or debts to determine appropriate financial products best meets the customer's needs and financial circumstancesProvide guidance to customers regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different financial productsClose sufficient volume from bank branch referrals and outside relationships to attain gross revenue production expectationResponsible for marketing, servicing and promoting the Bank's financial products in order to obtain new businessIdentify and refer specific qualified clients to affiliated Wealth Management GroupIdentify potential existing Brokerage customers to initiate additional sales by actively "account managing" and refer customers with banking needs to retail banking partnersPerform on-going self-education to remain product/solution fluent and maintain licensing capability.Prepare reports and present as appropriateQualifications

Series 7, Series 66, Life and Health licenses requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office productsPrior Sales experience in a bank environment is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel daily to generate business and/or meet with clients within given territory is requiredHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredCollege degree and advanced designations preferredKEY COMPETENCIES:

Company Profile

The starting base salary range for this position in Baltimore/Annapolis, Maryland is $50,000-$100,000. Once fully commissioned, individuals in this role have the potential to earn meaningfully higher compensation based on performance and productivity against commission plan parameters.
