National Bank of Coxsackie is looking for a Commercial Loan Officer to champion our brand in the Capital Region as we expand. This position is stimulating, challenging, and offers growth potential. The Commercial Loan Officer's main goal will be to identify opportunities for business lending growth and develop strategies to achieve success. Candidates should be self-motivated, have an entrepreneurial spirit, enjoy teambuilding, and are motivated for brand expansion.
The general responsibilities of the position, which are all completed within the framework of Bank policies and procedures, are:
Develop a profitable loan/deposit portfolio and provide a high level of customer service by activelyundertaking activities to develop business leads.Obtain relevant information and evaluate applicants' financial status.Understand the Capital Region commercial lending market and ensure frictionless banking for prospects and customers.Provide financial solutions to businesses and their owners.Devote time and energy to cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, associations, influencers,and others to promote the Bank's programs and services.Professionally represent the Bank at business and social functions.Present prospective loans at management and board loan committees.Keep abreast of local business opportunities, general economic indicators and industry trends bymaintaining a profile in the business community through participation in local organizations.Responsible for expanding relationships with existing businesses and their owners, soliciting new business from prospective customers, developing referrals and making referrals for other financial services products.Collaboratively develop and achieve production goals.Perform any special functions as designated by management.Necessary Skills, Training, and Dispositions:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people.Highly motivated and self-starter capable of initiating and cultivating new client relationships.Knowledge of and ability to follow loan processing laws and all compliance and banking regulations.Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs.Ability to establish and promote Bank products to the business community.Deepen customer relationships by providing financial solutions.
