SCHEDULE:
Day shift. Overtime and weekends required.
COMPENSATION:
Hourly. Commensurate with skills and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIESFollow delivery instructions, and maintain compliance with all DOT, company and customer safety and operational policies and proceduresProperly load and unload product at various customer locations in a professional, courteous, timely, safe, and efficient mannerConnect and disconnect hoses, operating pumps and valves for loading and unloading, safely filling tanks using various size hoses, nozzles and fittingsUse onboard technology as instructed (Smartlogix, Samsara)Complete paperwork accurately and timely, if applicableComply with Sun Coast's accident and incident reporting procedures for accidents and spillsOther related tasks as assigned by manager
BASIC REQUIREMENTSLocals only please. Must live within 60 miles of terminalMinimum age 23Valid class A or B license with hazmat and tanker endorsements, a good driving record and a good understanding of DOT regulationsMust have at least one year of experience hauling liquid bulk in a tanker trailer or bobtailMust be able to pass background screening including MVR and criminalStable employment historyMust initiate TWIC card process within 30 days of hireMay be required to lift objects weighing 50 poundsMust be able to work nights, weekends, and an extended workweek.Must have some mechanical and electrical aptitudeProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to work well under pressure in a team environment and get along with othersMust be able to read, speak, write and communicate using the English language well enough to perform the job functionsAbility to work in extreme weather conditions, and for 12 to 18 hours per dayMust be able to use three points of access getting in and out of the tractor, multiple times a dayMust be able to climb up steps to verify tank compartments as neededMust be able to work safely in uneven or muddy surfacesStrong customer service skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, manage time, organize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
