Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Bookmobile Driver Mobile Library Services · Cortland, Ohio Warren-Trumbull County Public Library is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Bookmobile Driver in the Mobile Library Services Department. The Bookmobile plays a crucial role in bringing library services directly to our community, and we are looking for a reliable and customer-focused driver to contribute to this valuable outreach effort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assists with stocking Bookmobile before each assigned route with appropriate materials and supplies. Safely drives the Bookmobile on assigned routes. Advises on route planning.Maintains the Bookmobile - performs checks of vehicle components on a regular schedule, performs routine service and maintenance functions, cleans interior and exterior of vehicle, reports mechanical problems to supervisor and takes vehicle in for repairs as needed.Provides reader's advisory and basic reference assistance to users; places holds and fills requests.Performs circulation duties; registers new users; shelves materials.Performs various clerical duties as assigned, including (but not limited to) typing, filing, photocopying, and mailing.
Withdraws materials from computer and shelf list.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent; a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required (CDL preferred but not required). Experience in driving large vehicles, such as buses or bookmobiles, is preferred. Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with a diverse range of patrons. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Basic computer skills for clerical duties and data entry. Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Position is subject to pre-employment, post-accident and random drug/alcohol screening.
This is a full-time position, scheduled for 40 hours/week. The work schedule for this department will consist of four 10-hour work days scheduled between Monday and Saturday. $15.06 hourly rate.
