The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a talented and motivated individual to serve as a Program Assistant II in the Operations Support program. Our department is currently seeking a friendly and hard-working Program Assistant to join our Operations Support team. This position will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and support to programs within MHSADS based in our Trailview Office in Leesburg, VA.
Ideal candidates will possess exceptional customer service skills, strong written and oral communication skills, be detail-oriented and have previous work experience utilizing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) to maintain individual and service delivery records.
Primary responsibilities include:• Performs data entry of demographics, insurance information, and service activity in the Department's EHR as well as processes physician's certifications and verifies insurance benefits.• Collects and processes program fees according to defined process and policies.• Provides courteous and timely customer service to County staff, vendors, citizens, and other visitors either in-person, virtual meetings, over the phone, or via email.• Answers incoming phone calls and direct general inquiries about programs and services.• Performs a variety of general administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and ordering office supplies.• Applies experience with standard office equipment, including desktop scanners and MS Office programs to efficiently and independently complete administrative tasks.• Completes special projects as assigned, independently or as a member of a team.• Provide back-up front desk coverage as needed; greeting and assisting visitors, answering phones, and collecting/dispersing office supplies and packages.
Position Hours: Mon - Fri: 8:30am - 5pm
Salary commensurate with experience
Minimum Qualifications• High School diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of related work experience in an administrative position involving contact with the public and working with automated systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements• Experience with standard office equipment, including desktop scanners, and proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs.• Bilingual with the ability to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish, is preferred.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
