Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Geisinger's Neuroscience Institute is seeking a neurology nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.The ideal candidate will work primarily in an outpatient clinic setting with a potential inpatient component if needed. Responsibilities include assessing and triaging patients, keeping track of results, discussing with physicians, arranging follow-up care, and preauthorization for medications and treatments.The successful Physician Assistant candidate must be a graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant program and certified by the NCCPA. The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will have a certificate from an approved program and be eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Must be certified to work with all patient age groups.Geisinger's Neuroscience Institute spans Geisinger's campuses in Danville, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, State College, and Lewistown, Pennsylvania. The program includes neurology and neurosurgery subspecialties along with residency programs.
