$34.01 - $48.21
per hour (based on education and experience)$20,000 sign-on and relocation bonuses
A supportive work environment that empowers you to make a differenceKey Responsibilities:Collaborative Care: Work closely with patients, their families, physicians, and the healthcare team to manage care and implement respiratory treatment plans.
Assessment & Treatment: Assess respiratory care needs, apply diagnostic testing, and implement therapeutic plans with precision and insight.
Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of patient care according to departmental and professional standards.
Patient Communication: Effectively communicate patient responses to respiratory therapy interventions and recommend modifications to care plans as needed.
Quality Assurance: Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives, applying standard procedures, protocols, and documentation to ensure high-quality care.
Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development through formal education, certification, and participation in both internal and external learning opportunities. You’ll also have the chance to precept and mentor new learners and students.
Innovation in Care: Demonstrate the innovative application of technologies in patient care. Stay active with evidence-based practices and integrate new knowledge from respiratory research endorsed by our department.
Qualifications:Education:Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy programAssociate degree in Respiratory Therapy requiredBachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
Experience:At least
12 months
of acute or critical care Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
Licensure/Certification:Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification requiredNBRC Specialty Credential (e.g., RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS) required within 2 years of hireACLS required for TCH Respiratory Therapists within 3 months of hire
