With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add an Conveyor Maintenance System Technician to our dynamic team.
Scope of Work
As a member of the facility maintenance team, you will utilize your skills to help support the repair and general upkeep of varies pieces of equipment throughout the operation. You will be responsible for assisting with the repair and maintenance of caster decks, roller racks, and conveyor systems. To be successful in this role, one must possess a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical controls and be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing conveyor systems.
Job Responsibilities
Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipmentTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all automated caster-deck components including motors, gears, switches, belts, photo-eyes, relays, and other functioning componentsMonitor automated caster-deck operations closely, rectifying any issues promptly to ensure smooth workflowAct as first level escalation support for the control system technician teamsMonitor MHE metrics and partner with Controls Technicians and Mechanics to resolve equipment electrical problems that create performance deficienciesRespond to breakdowns and emergency calls quickly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiencyDocument maintenance activities and safety precautions on all equipment worked onOther duties as assignedRequirements
Proven experience with Motor Controls (motor starts, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components)2+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programsAttention to detail and prioritization skillsMust have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteriaAbility to read and interpret technical blueprints and diagramsKnowledge of standard safety procedures and regulationPhysical Demands
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walkingLifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 50 pounds unassistedDexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
