is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our CT Surgery team. The General Cardiothoracic Surgical Advanced Practitioner works with the Cardiothoracic Surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals in coordinating and delivering patient care in a limited, non-cardiac surgical arena of the cardiothoracic surgery service. Facilitates communication between the patient and family, various hospital departments, the Nursing Service and the Medical Staff; function as a clinical expert in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Program and will practice to the fullest extent permitted under all current state and federal laws, and according to approved policies.This position is a Surgical Position. We are looking for a NP or PA who does Consults and rounding, direct admissions, and discharges, First assisting in surgery, runs ICU at night when performing night call and covers floor coverage during the day. Serves as first assist to physicians while in the operating room and performs surgical functions.
