Peraton is seeking a
Accounting Manager
in support of our Corporate Technical Accounting team initiatives, specializing in revenue recognition under ASC 606. This exciting opportunity will provide an avenue for continued growth and exposure to other areas within the team.Responsibilities include:Collaborate with program teams to ensure timely and accurate recognition of revenue
Identify potential revenue issues and coordinate with program to ensure appropriate treatment.Work with project accounting and revenue accounting to coordinate project setup and revenue recognition as needed.Assist with financial reporting disclosuresUpdate and maintain accounting policies and procedures related to revenue and related activities.Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements.Ensure compliance with and continually improve internal controls over revenue.Work directly with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit requirements related to revenue recognition and insure audit efficiency.Determine appropriate application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in relation to various transactions.Compose white papers documenting accounting conclusions supported by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Complete special projects and other ad hoc requests.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:A CPA with Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and 10 years of relevant experience or a CPA with Masters Degree in accounting, finance or related field and 8 years of relevant experience.Experience applying revenue recognition standard ASC 606.Have working knowledge of MS Office business applications.Excellent writing and presentation/communication skillsSuperb analytical and qualitative strategic thinking capabilitiesA self-starter, team player, problem solver, and possess a high degree of integrity.Desired Qualifications:Possess a strong understanding of the government contracting environment.Have a working knowledge of FAR and CAS.Two or more years of Big 4 experienceHave experience with Deltek Costpoint.Advanced Excel skills.Excel at working well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Experience writing technical memos and applying accounting guidance to complex accounting transactions.

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
