Aerotek is immediately hiring a (1st shift) Material Handler for a Vinyl Flooring Manufacturing company in the Salem NJ area. We are seeking candidates' with forklift operating experience working in a manufacturing or production facility.

Job Description
The Manufacturing Operator will function as part of a team in the manufacturing of 1st quality product while applying knowledge of working characteristics in a manufacturing environment utilizing required machinery and equipment. Manufacturing Operators can perform multiple tasks conducted by the team in the manufacturing process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis. The candidate will be operating a forklift and overhead crane to transport rolls of material both within the print department and between departments.
Responsibilities
Operate a sitdown forklift and overhead crane to transport rolls of material within and between departments.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and safety rules.
Inspect materials, components, and production equipment according to established standards.
Ensure the product meets production requirements and quality standards.
Complete routine forms, safety and environmental inspections, and other paperwork as needed.
Maintain a clean work area per required standards.
Work shift work and overtime as needed.
Communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
Skills
Sit down Forklift operation
Shipping experience
Palletizing
Manufacturing or Production experience
Overhead crane operation
Ability to work in a team
Flexibility to rotate tasks
Comfort with working overtime as needed

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in SALEM, New Jersey.
Work Environment
The position is based in Salem, New Jersey (USA) and involves working in a manufacturing and marketing environment of residential and commercial sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl, laminate and hardwood floors, as well as commercial carpet and rubber.
Shift: 1st. Hours: 6am to 4pm Monday to Thursday (Friday OT)
Must Be comfortable working OT (Fridays)
Must be Flexible. working up to 10-12 hour days
